The Woman in Black Raises The Dead in Cicero! (Cicero, IL) — Just in time for Halloween, the Jedlicka Performing Arts Center is proud to announce its production of the chilling ghost play The Woman in Black. Opening October 24th, The Woman in Black stars JPAC regular Tom Viskocil, as well as newbies Steve Scholz and Cara Hawthorne. The Woman in Black was adapted for the stage by Stephen Mallatratt from the book by Susan Hill and has been playing to sold out crowds in the West End for over 20 years. Through special arrangement with Samuel French of New York and PW Productions of London, JPAC will be presenting The Woman in Black with the terrifying original sound effects used in the smash hit West End production. The Woman in Black is the story of Arthur Kipps, a young British lawyer who is hired to put the affairs of a deceased woman’s house in order. The large, lonely house sits on a remote fog-covered island where Kipps uncovers a shadowy history of violent secrets that go bump in the night. The production will be directed by JPAC Artistic Director Dante Orfei with technical direction by Michael Nedza. The Woman in Black will scare audiences silly weekends October 24th through November 8th - Fridays & Saturday's at 7:30 pm with a Sunday matinee on November 2nd at 3 pm. Ticket prices range from $8 to $15 and are available by calling JPAC at (708) 656-1800. More information online at www.jpactheatre.com. Press contact - Eddie Sugarman @ 646-245-8515. ### |
